Night Shyamalan, es el creador de un mundo etéreo de suspense, sólo comparable al suyo propio. "El secreto de M. Night Shyamalan" es un thriller al estilo de la película "El Proyecto de la bruja de Blair", que muestra a un personaje rodeado de secretos. El documental se inicia cuando el director, Nathaniel Khan, trata de entrevistarlo durante el rodaje de "El bosque". El equipo se traslada al lugar y, mientras espera, recoge con sus cámaras los misterios que lo rodean.
